I have 3 daughters: MaKenzie ( knew we would always shorten and call her Kenzie or Kenz, double capital letters allows this) The Ma instead of Mc was to have it pronounced correctly. Madison, didn't need to change the spelling. It looks how it should be pronounced. And Masyn. Her name is not MA-SON. It's May-sin. Could have used an e instead of the y but Masen just looked weird. But then again, my mother named me Toviea and it rhymes with Yugoslavia the country...I don't know where her spelling comes from or her logic for it, but I've lived with it almost 30 years. No biggie.
