I hope that in the new year parents stop letting celebrities and pop culture in general reflect what they name their children. What are your baby naming wishes for the new year?

Bad Celebrity Baby Name

Vince Vaughn and his wife Kyla named their daughter Locklyn. I can't even begin to describe how gross this name is for a girl. Why do they always misspell male names when they use them on girls? It doesn't make the name look feminine or cute. It looks dumb! I hope Lochlan won't become a Finley for girls. Finley is becoming popular for girls because Angie Harmon and her husband named their daughter Finley. Does anyone actually like this name on a girl?

For a girl?

I just stumbled upon this gem. A baby girl named Ridgley Rose. What is wrong with people? How can anyone think Ridgley sounds good for a girl?

It's that time of year!

It's the time of year when the so called most popular baby names lists are released. You will see hundreds if not thousands of lists all over the internet claiming to be the most popular names from 2010. The actual list from the social security administration will not be released until later in 2011. It's usually around March. Some states release their own data which is accurate. Don't fall for the baby name sites that claim to have a list of the most popular names. It's a lie! Here a few bad names for your enjoyment.. I hope these names don't make the most popular list! Yikes!
